My mom likes getting my siblings and I funny advent calendars despite the fact that we're now all adults and this was the one she got me this year. I have to say, the jerky in this calendar is some of the best I've ever had. Really nice consistency to the meat and the flavors (while not all of them are things I'd normally like) were very well balanced and delicious. I do have a few critiques but comparatively they're very small ones. The individual packages are hard to open without scissors and the habanero jerky had barely any heat to it. I have a pretty middle of the road spice tolerance and wouldn't even consider it spicy. I haven't tried the ghost pepper one yet and I'm hoping that one is spicier (though I have a feeling I'll be regretting that statement). Overall, this is an excellent gift and I would absolutely buy some of the jerky flavors if they were sold individually.

This was a gift from a friend. I honestly thought it wasn’t going to be that great. But I’ll be the first to admit this was one of the best advent calendars ever! Each piece was individually delicious and perfectly seasoned

A 24 day celebration of jerky. What could be better? Each selection was anticipated with unbridled glee, bright eyes, clapping hands, and not a little drool. Each morsel was savored to the fullest. To say it was life changing would be faint praise - it was David-Hasselhoff-on-a-unicorn-with-sprinkles amazing.

One downside: It is only 24 days - which makes the other 341 rather dull and lifeless by comparison. Please bring it back this year!

I bought three of these - my husband and 2 sons were so excited to get them. They were actually excited to open them every day! Thank you!

It's a fun gift for an adult. It brings out the child-like anticipation of the advent, while using a more adult inspired treat. The friend I got it for has absolutely loved the fun of opening one door at a time, and he said all the meat has been moist and delicious!

Like the person above me, I thought I only had 15 pieces. I tore the box open and found the tray was inserted upside down. The other 10 were still in there.

It’s a cute idea, my husband loved getting to open a piece each day. However, there were a lot of repeat flavors. We had 5 that were repeats, and it would be fine if they were spread out a bit but every repeat was in a row. For example, day 1 & 2 were the same flavor, day 12 &13 were the same flavor, etc. And that repeated 5 times throughout the advent calendar. 😕 kind of a bummer and defeats the purpose of a different flavor every day up until Christmas. The jerky did taste good though!

I was so excited to find this because I have a fiancé that doesn’t drink, and it’s so hard to find an advent calendar without booze. However if I’m going to spend $80 on a jerky calendar then I assumed the jerky was going to be freaking amazing! My fiancé said it wasn’t the best jerky he’s had and some of it was rubbery. Then I was upset that he received double of a lot of the flavors! Seriously why was that worth $80?? I won’t be buying this again. For $80 I can make a better calendar myself.

I bought this for my daughter who is not a fan of chocolate, and she was so excited. However, we have now opened three days and every flavor so far has been garlic. We don't want to tear through the rest of the box to see if we have other flavors since it is an advent calendar, but I wouldn't have purchased a box of 24 garlic jerky pieces. She said they taste fine but the variety was the draw.

My wife got me this. I am on day 11. This company provides moist and tender jerky. However, regardless of the meat or seasoning they all taste similar. They are also very saturated to the point where they all feel oily and unremarkable. Not bad but certainly not amazing.

Totally not worth the money.
With this being so expensive you’d assume you’d have a shareable, bigger quantity of the jerky. However it was the size of a quarter. Very ashamed.
